hi, I’m Cheryl —

15+ years in tech. Helping women feel confident with technology, AI and systems.

I’ve spent my career as an engineering manager in the tech world: building systems, leading teams, and (mostly) being the person who explains what any of it actually means to people who don’t live and breathe it. The thing I’m genuinely good at isn’t the tech — it’s making it un-scary.

When my partner started his carpentry business, I got a front-row seat to the reality of small business life. The long hours. The uncertainty. The endless list of things that somehow all become your job. I started using the AI and tech tools from my day job to simplify the admin, streamline the systems and get some of those hours back. That’s when I realised there were so many women running the back office of a small business who didn’t need more technology — they needed someone to help them make sense of it. So I started her.sorted.
